The Home of You: The Beginning

Welcome to De-sign Therapy's blog, The Home of You. I am grateful and delighted you have taken time to check in and see what this work is about.

A home is so much more than a structure you design, build and decorate. A home is a way to know who you really are. This is a unique point of view that came to me years ago during a time of illness. Through a remarkable chain of events which I will share with you soon, the home I share with my family saved my life. Since then, I have opened myself to the knowledge that I can find my reflection in everything around me through a sacred connection to the objects and rooms within my environment. This life-giving discovery changed how I perceive spaces and live in the home I share with my family.

Design trends are fascinating and show us how humans shift and change in response to what they are surrounded by. It is often an unconscious communication, yet with practice, you can listen to you and your home and discover what objects, colours and designs work best for you.

The purpose of The Home of You blog is to inspire you to go deeper, prompting you to see what is behind your de-sign story. With this knowledge, you will be able to create an environment that supports yourself and others who live there.

I have learned that the beauty of a home created with intention and meaning is profoundly moved by the human heart. Your glance and your breath change the vibration of these things. This is relationship. This is home.

A home is so much more than a structure you design, build and decorate. A home is a way to know who you really are.
